Helen Bronte Boyd - Artist
Australian Visual Artist Helen Boyd had a passion for art since childhood, drawing and Painting whenever possible, inspired by nature and fueled by imagination.
Helen studied art whilst living in Christchurch, New Zealand and furthered her studies in Melbourne, Australia. Whilst raising three, creative, young sons and moving countries to settle in Hong Kong in 2002, she co-created studio2 an artist run studio/gallery in the heart of SoHo. At studio2 Helen held classes, workshops and exhibitions (solo and group) for several years. The goal of studio2 was to nuture both her own and other artists creativity and to form an artistic community.
Helen is an painter, her works are richly textured and vibrantly coloured to depict the evolving, challenging and joyous elements of life, family and art.
Her work now features in private collections around the world, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong,The Middle East, The Phillipines, The Netherlands, Carribean Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, India, Singapore, UK and the USA.
Whenever possible in her overseas travels, Helen journals and takes her camera while exploring, inspired by the life and culture surrounding her. Helen continues to tutor art, running weekly life drawing groups through HK VAC and H Studio Gallery.
H Studio Gallery is a hub started by Helen and is an artist run studio/gallery hub in Sai Kung. The resident H Studio Gallery artists are Helen Bronte Boyd, Lori Foster and Narelle Cridland. This space runs weekly Life Drawing,workshops, Guest artist workshops, exhibtions and open days.
